Calling All Baseball Fans!!! Volunteers needed...
As most of you know, for the past eight years, I’ve been actively involved with working with “Ed Randall's Bat for the Cure”. BFTC was created by Ed to promote prostate cancer awareness and to raise money for the endocrine lab and cancer research at St. Luke’s- Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. Ed, cancer survivor, MLB baseball sports announcer and talk show host on WFAN in New York, has teamed up with all of the official minor league baseball teams and many of the major league teams across the country, to have BFTC prostate cancer awareness days at their ballparks. Each team hosts a special ceremony and at some games, we conduct PSA testing before,after and during a game.
Through our FCCA family, I have found volunteers throughout the country to assist the ballparks with these ceremonies and hand out information on prostate cancer. I am, once again, looking for volunteers. In addition to receiving free admission to the game you choose to volunteer at, you will also receive tickets to use at a later date!
Please also send me the names of any other volunteers who will be attending with you. You can bring non-court volunteers too!!! Feel free to pass on info..
If you don't see your team listed here, the game may already be covered by either the Notre Dame Alumni Association or local folks.. If you would like info on a particular team, just let me know and Ill try to work out additional coverage so you can go too.
