2022 Membership Kick Off

Please join us as we “cut the ribbon” launching our 2022 FCCA Membership Drive and commence our yearlong celebration of the 100th anniversary of this amazing association! We invite you to become a part of the commemoration of our centennial!

Our membership represents many diverse backgrounds and cultures working in an inclusive environment where everyone has the same goals in mind: to perform our jobs with the utmost professionalism and integrity and to provide justice effectively and fairly.

We remember those who came before us, and we learn from each other. We continue to work together to pave the way for those who will step in our shoes. We are proud to work in the U.S. federal court system.

As “Return to Normalcy" was United States presidential candidate Warren G. Harding's campaign slogan for the election of 1920, so too are these words appropriate for our 2022 membership campaign. President Harding used the slogan to evoke a return to the way of life before World War I and the Spanish flu pandemic, both events wreaking havoc around the world. Today, the FCCA is “Roaring Twenties” back, albeit one hundred years later. And with your participation and strength, we will grow bigger and better, taking the association forward for the next 100 years. (President Harding was U.S. President in 1922, the year that the FCCA was born.)

Your chosen professions within the federal judiciary have developed and grown throughout the past one hundred years. We have collectively and generationally stood side by side along with the FCCA founders who helped to create the federal court system. Your ideas, suggestions, and hard work continue to make the federal court system what it is today.

Federal court clerks working together with probation and pretrial services, interpreters, court reporters, federal public defenders, the bench, bar, and litigants create opportunities for everyone. You are all genuinely appreciated by the entire FCCA membership!

You will not want to miss all of the benefits and educational opportunities that the FCCA offers. The value and experience that you receive from membership is well worth the cost of dues. Career guidance programs, resume writing, preparation for job/promotion interviews, clerk/chief deputy mentor programs, job vacancy postings, weekly Job Vacancy announcement newsletters, the Diversity & Inclusion Committee’s monthly “Insights” newsletter, hands-on leadership classes taught at the Antietam Civil War battlefield, educational panels, opportunities to attend the FCCA annual training conference, personal development, networking opportunities … and the list goes on. Participate in FCCA committees and reap the benefits that membership offers by attending panel discussions and online training programs.

We hope that you make the most of your dedicated commitment to your federal court career and take the steps to develop and advance. Personal growth is the key to individual well-being, and membership in the FCCA is the key that opens the door to personal growth. Membership in the FCCA is your resource – your tool to personal and professional development.

It is simple. FCCA offers you knowledge, the sharing of ideas and benefitting from the experience of others who have walked these same walks since 1922. Why start from scratch every time you have an issue? Ask questions and the FCCA will provide answers. Think of your fellow members as your encyclopedia of all court knowledge from every aspect and from every position. Learn from the best and share what you know. We are all in this process together. Consider a Lifetime membership and check out the membership levels on the FCCA website.

Please take a moment to review the Membership and Recruitment packet that details the “Who, What, and Why” of the FCCA. Share this information with your Clerks and your colleagues by providing the link to this document or download and print. What services can we offer to you and what suggestions, ideas, and knowledge can you offer to us? We welcome you all.
